Iggy likes to think of himself as the best and this box lives up to that mighty expectation.

'The Iggy' is an unapologetically hard hitting cheese box with three heavyweight cheeses in Westcombe, Rollright and a personal fave of mine; Northern Blue. For this box we've partnered with our friends 'the Small Beer company' in South London to bring it home with some amazing beer pairings.

Happy cheesing indeed.

westcombe (200g) with lager

Now, for those in the know, this won’t come as the biggest surprise. Westcombe is made at Westcombe farm (see what they did there) and we think of it as The Godfather amongst cheddars...nothing mild about it, a real flavour explosion. We get citrus throughout with the odd pop of hazelnut and caramel.

Pairs with The Original Small Beer Lager, a classic Pilsner-style lager with a citrus nose, stone fruit palate and a continental bite on the finish. Bright, crisp & fresh – this true lager delights!

rollright (250g) with steam

Rollright. Never ever Rollwrong. Simply put, it's a better, British alternative to Reblochon. But it's so much more. It's luxurious, it's buttery, it's rich...but with an immensely satisfying crunch. And don't forget the woodiness thanks to the spruce bark wrap. Whilst the guys at King Stone Dairy in Gloucestershire took inspiration from the washed rind soft cheeses of France and Switzerland, they have taken it to another level here. Keep on rollin.

A rich rye style beer, The Original Small Beer Steam is an amber bridging the gap between a lager and an ale with dried fruits, spice and a rounded hop finish. Goes well with a game of hopscotch and Rollright (duh)!

northern blue (200g) with dark Lager

Creamy, steely and sweet. A Northern powerhouse of a blue cheese is made with milk from hardy Northern cows (we hear they make them proper tough up there).

This pairs with The Original Small Beer Dark Lager which is all coffee, toast and dark chocolate (sounds like a delightful breakfast). Nosing like a stout or porter, this dark beer drinks like a lager and leaves a roasted toasty finish.

Peter's Yard Originals

Sourdough Crispbreads. Simply the world's greatest biscuits for cheese...fact.

Delivery is not only free, and not only at a set time of your choosing, but also comes in a climate control box (the only in the industry) that comes with a 48 hour freshness guarantee.

If that wasn't enough, we also add an insert that will talk you through the info on the cheeses, tasting notes and a scorecard to help you make the very most of your cheese and beer evening!!

Optional: Three gees

If you feel your box is one chutney (or three) short of a picnic, then you can add The Three Gees to round off the box.

We couldn't do it alone

The team at Small Beer specialise exclusively in brewing lower alcohol beers, with each of their four classic beer styles sitting below 2.8%. Their range is made up of Small Beer Lager 2.1%, Session Pale 2.5%, Steam 2.7% and Dark Lager 1%.
With their brewery based in South Bermondsey, London, their multi-award winning beers really do push the boundaries or production innovation.
They say, Small Beer is for those who think big! It's certainly for those who love to enjoy great beer without suffering the bleary-eyed consequences.
