**Golden Cross - **Made by Kevin and Alison Blunt at Golden Cross Cheese Company in East Sussex. A log shaped goat’s cheese and very possibly the greatest goat’s cheese in the world. (v)
St James - Martin Gott and his partner Nicola make this unpasteurised, washed-rind ewe’s milk cheese in the Southmost part of the Lake District. Beautifully light and fresh at this time of year, and made using their very own starter cultures.
**Vintage Lincolnshire Poacher - **4th generation producer Simon Jones makes this farmhouse, unpasteurised hard cheese. Akin to a cheddar, but less with less tang and a nuttier, burnt butter-y depth of flavour, this is a true British masterpiece.
Winslade - a Vacherin/Camembert style cheese encircled in Spruce. Produced in Hampshire by the Hampshire Cheese Co., headed up by Stacey Hedges and Charlotte Spruce. (v)
**Beauvale - **Developed by Robin Skailes and Howard Lucas from Cropwell Bishop Creamery in Nottinghamshire. A delightfully creamy blue that sits somewhere between a Stilton and a Gorgonzola.
Paired with Peter’s Yard Crispbreads and a chutney from Rosebud Preserves.
