A cracking cheese with a cracking back story. It's hard to believe that as recently as 2005 there were still gaps in the cheese market. A soft, unpasteurised blue cheese was hard to come by, so this led to the Davenports creating Cote Hill Blue, and we're glad they did. It can be described as soft and rich, having a velvety silver rind with a salty spicy kick at the end. To top it off it's the handiwork of just 63 cows at their farm in Lincolnshire.
Delivery is not only free, and not only at a set day of your choosing, but also comes in a climate control box (the only in the industry) that comes with a 48 hour freshness guarantee.
If that wasn't enough, we also add an insert that will talk you through the info on the cheeses, tasting notes and a scorecard to help you make the very most of your cheesegeek delivery!
Meet the Maker
In 2005, Lincolnshire farmers, the Davenports decided to learn the art of cheesemaking to add value to their milk. They took on the notoriously challenging soft unpasteurised blue and succeeded with Cote Hill Blue. They've since added 4 more cheeses to their repertoir!
