Rachel with Jubel Peach
A light goat's milk cheese paired with a peach flavoured lager.
Rachel is another great goat's milk cheese from White Lake, and along with Eve, one of our favourites. If you do not like goat's milk cheese normally, do not be put off! This is different! It has the texture of an Ossau Iraty or a Tomme de Savoie, so basically that utterly divine supple moreish texture when you bite into it and it leaves teeth marks...you know the one. It is a really interesting spin on goat's cheese both in texture and taste, and one we encourage everyone to give a go.
Paired with Jubel Peach lager, this is a fresh and funky combo, leaving you with a light peaches and cream flavour.
Spenwood with Jubel Elderflower
An english pecorino-style cheese paired with an elderflower flavoured lager.
Spenwood is a world-class cheese from Anne Wigmore and her family, aka Village Maid Dairy. Reminiscent of a Pecorino or Manchego, Spenwood really does have a character unto itself with earthy and moody notes in winter, and lighter and milky sweet in summer season.
Paired with Jubel Elderflower, this is a smooth match through and through. The light milky notes of Spenwood work together with the floral fruitiness of the Elderflower creating a fresh summer hedgerow flavour.
Binham Blue with Jubel Grapefruit
A subtle knockout blue paired with a grapefruit flavoured lager.
Binham Blue is a brand new cheese to cheesegeek made from the milk of Brown Swiss cows by the lovely Catherine Temple in Norfolk. The result is a blue with a sweet fudge texture with added mustiness from the rind and a slight crunch.
Paired with Grapefruit, this takes the edge off the saltiness of Binham and lifts the cheese to a fresher level.
