How do you take a cheesegeek stalwart and add a flavour of Christmas? We considered tinsel - too garish; glitter - too crunchy; Father Christmas imprinted on the top of each Ba...how about we just let the guys at Fen Farm do their thing.Do their thing they did. Truffled Baron Bigod is hitting Cheese Geek boxes for the first time this winter. Maker Jonny Crickmore uses his own mascarpone mixed with Tartuflanghe Summer Truffle Cream to create - and it’s a gem. Bigod is luxurious at the best of times but the truffle takes it to a new level of decadence. It calls for something bubbly. If you need a Bigod reminder, think of it as British Brie but better. Legendary Montbelliarde cows (whose home is Suffolk), rich and buttery with smooth earthy mushroom, he delivers every time.
Delivery is not only free, and not only at a set day of your choosing, but also comes in a climate control box (the only in the industry) that comes with a 48 hour freshness guarantee.
If that wasn't enough, we also add an insert that will talk you through the info on the cheeses, tasting notes and a scorecard to help you make the very most of your cheesegeek delivery!
Meet the Maker
From Fen Farm in Suffolk, the Crickmores produce Baron Bigod. Using raw milk from their Montebeliarde herd to a traditional brie recipe, FF have won over the toughest of French brie purists! They're also committed to sustainability, aiming to become carbon negative.
