We've said it before but here we go again - Chardonnay is quite probably the greatest all rounder when it comes to cheese matching. Olivier Coste crafts his wines in Pézenas in the Languedoc region, and he knows a fair bit as his family have been making wine on the estate since 1701! The wines are carbon neutral and sustainable and organic viticulture principles are followed and this shows in the wine that has great purity. The wine is unoaked and has aromas of white peach, red apple skin and pears. The palate shows lovely textural richness but with real freshness to balance this out, there is a lovely note of anis and white flowers on the finish.

Our house wine selection has been curated by Alistair Cooper, Master of Wine. We're big believers that the importance of great wine when it comes to great cheese cannot be understated, and as such have selected these wines after hours and hours of scrutiny (and fun), to be all rounders for pairing with our cheese.

Delivery is not only free, and not only at a set day of your choosing, but also comes in a padded climate control box (the only in the industry) that comes with a 48 hour freshness guarantee.

If that wasn't enough, we also add an insert that will talk you through the info on the wines and cheeses, tasting notes and a scorecard to help you make the very most of your cheesegeek delivery!

During checkout, you will be able to select your preferred delivery date. This is great if you're buying as a gift or are organising your cheese in advance. The cheese will be packed in chilled, insulated boxes (that look great!) and will always be prepared on the day it is dispatched. A few other handy pointers:

- We use DHL nationwide and Packfleet within the M25

- Please use the delivery date you have selected as a guide rather than a guarantee.

- Your cheese will arrive in the best condition. It will have been prepared freshly and will not have been with our courier beyond our maximum of 48hrs

- You will receive delivery notifications for when your order is dispatched that mean you can track when it’s in transit

If you aren’t in for your delivery, this won’t matter. Our couriers will leave your cheese in you designated safe place in our climate controlled packaging.

We’re a small business working with an (incredible) perishable product. For advice on delivery or any cheesy questions, get in touch via the live chat or on hello@thecheesegeek.com
